Saturday work, Sunday optional recreation

This is an opportunity to visit and to assist in the Carrizo Plain National Monument.

On Saturday we will assist monument staff in the removal and/or modification of fences to allow pronghorn antelope freer access to the range. Sunday is reserved for sightseeing or hiking as the group decides.

The views from the Caliente Mountains are spectacular; spring flowers may be blooming (if rainfall is sufficient); and the monument is known for the number and variety of raptors present.
